Much is made of the 'unlocked' nature of the Globesurfer X1, but how easy is it in practice to swap between dongles from different operators? If, in practice, every time you change dongle, you have to go to the set up page an change the APN, changing dongles will be a nuisance.

What would be most helpful would be for the device to remember each dongle, or each SIM card, and remeber an APN associated with it. That way you could just unplug one dongle and plug in another to connect to a different network. Is that how the X1 works?

APN connection settings are defined on the Option Globesurfer X1 itself, therefore regardless of how many times you change the USB dongle, provided that the SIM card used is the same then the settings will not have to be changed. If you use a SIM card from another provider then the APN setting may need to be changed if the access point name used by the provider is different.
