We have had a few reports of users not be able to install or use the brand new HD version of CoPilot on their device.

Simply follow the instructions below to solve the issue.

1) Insert the software CD
2) Open 'My Computer' and browse to the following folder (Where 'D' is the drive of your CD)

UK & Ireland Addition: D:\UK and Ireland\2577
Western Europe: D:\Western Europe\2577

3) Copy the contents of the '2577' folder.

Now either using your device or a memory card reader navigate to your memory card

4) Open 'My Computer' and browse to the following folder (Where 'E' is the drive of your Memory Card)

UK & Ireland Addition: E:\UK and Ireland\2577
Western Europe: E:\Western Europe\2577

5) Paste the contents of the folder from the CD over writing the same contents on your memory card (You may need to ok this action several times).

6) Soft reset your device and the CoPilot application should now be upgraded.

If you are having any further issues, please email support@devicewire.com

Received my Copilot Live 7 from you yesterday and all is working fine, and the resolution on the Touch HD is excellent.

For anyone interested, the current version of CPL7 for the Touch HD is 7.8.0.162 which was confirmed by ALK for me yesterday. You can see your current version by browsing into the 2577 folder and opening the file called 'versionno'.

The current version of Copiliot Central is not compatable with this latest hi res release for some reason, and is not being shipped with it (despite words to the contrary on the sales page). Hopefully ALK will update Central and release a version for us HD users.

Rather than use the 1Gb card it came on, I wanted to install on my 8Gb card. I copied the 2 folders (2577 and Copilot) from one card to the other (before I installed anything) and it worked exactly as it should.

I have read a lot of posts about major lag on signal, but I had a test drive today and whilst there is a slight delay, it does not affect anything. I think it is less than a second behind which is hardly noticeable really.

Excellent product, excellent service from Devicewire, shame about Central but you can do everything manually without it....just takes a bit of figuring out.

Good luck (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply.

You are indeed correct. The software on the memory cards is a slightly older version than that on the DVD. Following our above instructions updates the memory card to use the newer version from the CD.

We have also now updated our product pages to remove the mentions of CoPiolt Central.
